Celine Leonard has a BA from the University of Dublin, Trinity College and a PhD from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She received her Diploma in Acupuncture from the College of Traditional Chinese Acupuncture, UK, in 1987 and a Diploma in Chinese Herbal Medicine from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in 1997, where she is presently External Examiner for their Herbal Training Course. She is Chair of the Irish Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and of the National Herbal Council in Ireland. She acted as Representative for Herbal Medicine on the Irish Department of Health and Children’s National Working Group for the Regulation of Complementary Practitioners, helping to produce a set of recommendations on proposed regulation. She has a practice which specializes in Gynecology and on assisting Women undergoing ART, in which capacity she works as part of the team in the Merrrion Fertility Clinic in Dublin. She lectures in Gynecology and ART to students as well as to practitioners of Chinese Medicine.
