As you might know from previous announce-ments, the Thieme office in New York is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, all Thieme staff in New York and some colleagues from Germany gathered on June 14th, 2004 for a celebratory luncheon at the Water Club in New York City.

Looking back to 1979, Thieme New York began as Thieme-Stratton, a sales and distribution arm of the larger company. Today, Thieme is a successful independent publishing house, with a world-class list in neurosurgery, radiology, otolaryngology, and orthopedics. New electronic product lines such as the recently launched ElectronicBook Library and the Electronic Brain Atlases, add to the growing and innovative list, as Thieme continues to expand.

We would like to extend our thanks to our authors, editors, contributors, and customers, whose hard work and loyalty have contributed a great deal to Thieme's success.
