A graduate from UC Berkeley with a major in Linguistics, Yuhuan Grant has been involved in the study and research of Traditional Chinese Medicine since the mid-1990s, both in China and the USA.

With her linguistic background in Chinese language and TCM study, she has co-authored and translated a number of books on the linguistics and cultural background of Chinese medicine. Her interest and main focus in the study of TCM lies in the translation and transmission of TCM into the Western world. Yuhuan is currently a graduate student in TCM at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in California. She is also an apprentice to Traditional Chinese Medical doctors in mainland China.
