    Exhibit-NEWS-: AAMA Symposium/ICMART Congress

The 2006 AAMA Symposium/ICMART Congress in Washington, D.C., from
April 7 – April 9 attracted 400 people from around the world. Indeed, the theme of the meeting, "The Expanding Horizon of Acupuncture: An International Celebration," was well reflected in the welcome atmosphere and the remarkable selection of workshops lead by renowned international speakers.

Velia Wortman Chow and Angelika-M. FindgottAt the Thieme booth, attendees had the chance to see our newest releases as well as our classic bestsellers. Thieme author Velia Wortman Chow (co-author of Pocket Atlas of Acupuncture) was at the Thieme booth for a signing session on the first day of the meeting (see photo). Beate Strittmatter (author of Ear Acupuncture and Identifying and Treating Blockages to Healing) could be found at the booth signing books during the break of her workshop on Interference Fields on Saturday.

Grace Cassese and Angelika-M. FindgottThe Thieme booth was one of the busiest in the exhibitor’s hall. In fact, the booth turned out to be a rendezvous of sorts: Thieme authors used it as a meeting point for appointments with their colleagues. Exhibitors from last year’s ICMART meeting in Prague and the AAMA symposium in Atlanta in 2005 also came for a brief chat. Even several of last year's customers stopped by to say hello.

With such great experiences at ICMART and AAMA meetings, I look forward to meeting old and new friends in Barcelona at the 2007 ICMART meeting and in Baltimore at the 2007 AAMA symposium.

We're looking forward to seeing you at next year's AAMA Symposium/ICMART Congress!
