community arrives at Frankfurt with the thought
going through their heads "Here we are again -
here we go again".
We see ourselves stepping onto a conveyor belt
that will throw us off at the end of a hectic
week back onto our trains, buses, planes, and
cars to return to our offices all over the world.
Why do we do this to ourselves and to others?
Well,
we meet and renew ties and strengthen cooperation
with our partners, agents and friends from every
corner of the Earth. We make many new contacts
and discuss Thieme's special approach to information
publishing with them for the first time.
Each year, we see that our trade partners and
our professional customers are looking more and
more closely at our special brand of publishing
and finding where our titles fit into their daily
professional practice.
Thieme's brand of product consists not only of
a very high quality of illustration and printing
but is also exemplary through the strong and effective
didactic concept contained in each work. This
didactic component of Thieme's publications has
been developed and refined continuously over decades
and has even successfully faced the challenge
of the new information media. Our print products
have improved.
They are extremely efficient in communicating
the latest knowledge for almost immediate application
in practice. They save the professional user time
but do not compromise on quality.
And
now we are working hard to transfer or convert
the Thieme brand to the electronic book
media. The first results will soon be shown at
fairs like Frankfurt.
Our message is getting through more strongly every
