Online Ordering Discount

In appreciation of our customers, Thieme is offering free shipping on all books, DVDs, CD-ROMs and videos in the USA. The discount will be indicated on the invoice accompanying your order. Orders must be sent via the shopping cart at www.thieme.com and cannot be combined with any other offer.

Pricing Policy

Please use a credit card (VisaCard, Mastercard or American Express) to make purchases on our web site. An invoice will be shipped with the product. All orders will be charged in US dollars for North, Central and South American countries.

Sales Tax

Thieme collects sales tax in New York and Pennslyvania for books and electronic products.

Shipping and Handling

Thieme products are shipped via via UPS Ground Delivery within the continental United States. If the product is in stock, US residents can expect delivery within approximately 10 to 12 business days. Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are shipped via UPS Blue (2-3 day delivery). Orders to Canada, Mexico, and South America are shipped via Air Parcel Post.

For orders within the continental United States: Add $7.50 for the first book or CD-ROM and $1.00 for each additional book or CD-ROM to your total order.
For orders from Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico: The same shipping costs as above apply and your order may be subject to additional charges.

For orders from Canada: A flat rate of $19.00 will be applied to your order.

For orders from Mexico and South America: Shipping charges are based on the following scale:

Return Policy

We truly hope that you are always satisfied with the products you purchased from Thieme. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied, you will benefit from our No-Risk Ordering Policy: All Thieme books, CD-ROMs, and videocassettes are fully refundable within 30 days (USA only).

A proforma invoice is an itemized list of products ordered with calculated delivery charges and VAT (EU countries only). All orders will be charged at the EUR (EURO) price and are non-returnable. Pricing Policy

Each calendar year's subscription rate quotes are effective as of January 1st. Institutional rates apply to libraries, hospitals and corporations. Only qualified professionals and students are eligible for individual subscriptions. The training rates apply to students, residents and fellows for up to three (3) years. To establish eligibility please notify us of the training status of the subscriber and the name of the institution. Orders from individuals must include the recipient's name and private address, and be paid by private funds.

All orders are subject to acceptance by Thieme. All journal subscriptions are sold on a non-returnable calendar year basis. Multiple year subscriptions are available for up to two (2) years. Single Issue/Back Issue orders are charged at the single issue/back issue price. Single issue/Back issue purchases are non-returnable. State sales taxes are added where applicable. Special introduction rates are valid for new subscribers only and are limited to the first year of subscription. These special rates are valid for new individual subscribers only and are limited to the first year of subscription.

Online Pricing

The contents of all our journal titles are now available online through our electronic journals site Thieme-connect at www.thieme-connect.com. A paid personal subscription to the print version of any journal title includes online access to the full text version of that journal. We also offer paid access for institutional and consortium subscribers by means of their IP number. Sales Tax

Thieme collects sales tax in Pennslyvania for journals.

Claims

All claims for missing issues:
- shipped via U.S. mail or air freight must be received within 90 days
- shipped internationally by surface delivery must be received within 180 days of the mailing date.
All other claims not received within these two time frames cannot be honored.
Subscribers may purchase replacement issues at the single issue rate (providing stock is available)

Single Issues/Back Issues

Single issue/back issue orders are charged at the single Issue/back issue price and are non-returnable.

Register with Thieme-connect to access a free online sample issue of the journal of your choice. There is no further obligation and your access to this issue will not expire so you may read it at your convenience.

On the left hand side you will find the link for a free sample issue. You'll receive instant access to the sample issue, and you can test it for as long as you wish - there is no time limit. Registration is free of charge and without obligation. Full text access is limited to the articles of that sample issue.

Claims for missing issues will be met, free of charge, if made within 6 months of the date of dispatch.
