New York/Stuttgart – Thieme is pleased to announce a new addition to our portfolio of journals, the International Journal of Angiology (IJA), a peer-reviewed journal which publishes original research, reviews, case reports and rapid communications in the field of vascular medicine. The IJA is the official journal for the International College of Angiology, as well as for the International College of Surgeons and the Asian Society for Vascular Surgery. The International Journal of Angiology has previously been published by Springer (1992 - 2006) and Pulsus (2007 - 2010). “The new cooperation with Thieme Medical Publishers offers the International College of Angiology the possibility to reach more angiologists worldwide. This will help improve quality of life through angiology and the practice of vascular and cardiovascular medicine,” said Prof. John B. Chang, Editor-in-Chief of the IJA and Chairman of the Board of Directors for the International College of Angiology. The multidisciplinary approach of the IJA offers insight into all sub-specialties of vascular medicine including vascular and cardiovascular surgery, cardiology and neurology. This breadth of content appeals to vascular and cardiovascular surgeons, interventional radiologists and cardiologists, as well as neurologists and internists. The International Journal of Angiology provides a medium for the timely publication of current research and reports on the latest techniques used in vascular medicine. The International Journal of Angiology will be available in print and online format, with articles publishing first via the eFirst service on the Thieme eJournals platform. Additionally, as the official journal of the International College of Angiology, the IJA will be distributed to the College’s members as part of their membership package.
