Full Papers and Letters in Chemical Synthesis

SynOpen is an international Open Access journal reporting current research results in chemical synthesis in full paper and letter format. It covers all fields of scientific endeavor that involve organic synthesis, including catalysis, organometallic, medicinal, biological, and photochemistry, but also related disciplines and offers the possibility to publish scientific primary data. Full papers provide dependable research results with detailed and reliable experimental procedures and full characterization of all important new products.

The following article types are published in SynOpen:

  • Original Papers
cover original research which has not been previously published, except in the form of an abstract or preliminary communication.
  • Letters
are preliminary reports of new research results whose significance to the scientific community justifies rapid communication.
  • PSPs (Practical Synthetic Procedures)
are useful and reliable procedures of interest for both academic and industrial chemists presented in a compact form.

As an Open Access publication, all articles in SynOpen are made freely available for all to read and download from Thieme E-Journals.

Pay What You Want: SynOpen implements a “Pay What You Want” model for article publication fees. This means that once your manuscript has been accepted for publication and it comes to paying the publication fee, you decide how much to pay. We are giving you the choice to pay any price you feel appropriate. Please contact our helpdesk with any questions. There are no submission charges.
