He will also present his work on Brain Mapping Day which will take place in the US Congress’ Gold Room, Rayburn House Building, Washington, D.C., on May 10, 2013. Brain Mapping Day is focused on integrating cutting edge technologies into the neuroscience field in order to rapidly find solutions for neurological disorders. Professor Nowinski’s brain mapping work consists of years of research on brain atlases, stroke, deep brain stimulation, brain quantification, neuroinformatics, medical image processing, virtual reality, computer-assisted diagnosis and treatment, and future directions in computer-aided radiology and surgery. Professor Nowinski currently works as a Principal Scientist and Lab Director at the Biomedical Imaging Lab Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (ASTAR) in Singapore.
