- Thieme Publishers is pleased to announce that the "Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery" now exclusively accepts admissions online. The new policy, effective immediately, streamlines the acceptance process while significantly reducing the turnaround time between submission and publication.
Authors can upload their documents at Manuscript Central (http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jrm). The website presents several exciting possibilities. There are numerous advantages to the new policy as well as to the site. For instance, electronic manuscripts are now rapidly published, when necessary, via Thieme's eFirst service. Writers also have access to the site not only to upload their manuscripts, but also to check the status of their documents.
The recently appointed Editor-in-Chief, Peter C. Neligan, M.D., F.R.C.S., states that the online submission process "...will significantly reduce the time for review completion as well as improve communication between the journal office and the contributor. Ultimately, the net result will be a considerably quicker time to publication."
The "Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery" consists of original articles containing clinical information for the practicing microsurgeon. It includes extensive information regarding groundbreaking technology and innovative techniques as well as significant cases and problems. All articles are stringently peer-reviewed by renowned experts in the field.
