New York/Stuttgart - "Thieme Atlas of Anatomy: Head and Neuroanatomy," the third book in the award-winning "THIEME Atlas of Anatomy" series is now available. It is the newest addition to the group of outstanding titles that is revolutionizing the way human anatomy is presented and studied.
"Head and Neuroanatomy" combines topographical views with portrayals of individual systems. Intuitively organized, the book seamlessly integrates hundreds of clinical applications into a beautifully illustrated presentation of anatomy. The atlas contains over 1,100 breathtaking illustrations consisting of expertly rendered digital watercolors, x-rays, as well as CT and MRI scans. Illustrations are clearly labeled for rapid identification.
The book covers cranial bones, muscles of the head, the nervous system, the cerebellum, and the spinal cord. Double-page spreads effectively produce self-contained guides to a specific topic. Core information, easily located, sits alongside comprehensive information, enabling more extensive study.
Experts in anatomy and biology, Michael Schuenke, M.D., Ph.D.; Erik Schulte, M.D.; Udo Schumacher, M.D., FRCPath, CBiol, FIBiol, DSc, and illustrators, Markus M.Voll and Karl H. Wesker, have come together once again to produce "Head and Neuroanatomy," an exceptional addition to the "THIEME Atlas of Anatomy" series. This expert team is rounded out by consulting editors, Lawrence M. Ross, M.D., Ph.D., University of Texas, Houston, Medical School and Edward Lamperti, Ph.D., Boston University Medical School. Currently, Dr. Lawrence M. Ross is president-elect of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists.
"Head and Neuroanatomy" follows the earlier publication of "General Anatomy and Musculoskeletal System and Neck and Internal Organs," the first and second books in the "THIEME Atlas of Anatomy" series. Together the three atlases provide readers with comprehensive coverage of the entire field of human anatomy and will expertly serve the needs of students, practitioners, and anyone who works with the human body.
