Who we are

Accessibility@Thieme

People in all their diversity are at the heart of everything we do. By ensuring that our products are accessible, we are laying the foundation for better medicine for everyone—individualized and inclusive.

Standards and Criteria

Thieme is guided by the principle of dual senses: Those who cannot hear should be able to see, and those who cannot see should be able to hear. We also base the design of our products and services on the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standard. We consider aspects such as contrast, keyboard control, subtitling, and alternative texts as long as it is technically feasible and makes sense. Our goal is to design our digital offerings so that all customers can use them, regardless of their limitations.

Company-wide Accessibility Strategy

The issue of accessibility is firmly anchored in the development process of our offerings. A central company-wide Accessibility Service Point monitors legal developments and provides advice and answers questions about the accessibility of our products and services.
