With its offers in chemistry and medicine, Thieme actively supports information sharing and communication processes in science and medical training, specialist training and advanced training. “Our open access publications provide high-quality research findings that have undergone rigorous peer review and make them available for free”, says Veronika Spinka, Senior Vice President Science at Thieme. “At the same time, we believe that it is just as important to make this content visible, since this increases its use for the expert community. ResearchGate has built an interactive digital environment that the global scientific community uses both regularly and enthusiastically. By also publishing Thieme’s open access journals directly on the ResearchGate platform, we have created an additional avenue to access them and have provided scientists with an option to actively connect with one another through their own research papers.” Journals made accessible through this collaboration include SynOpen, Endoscopy International Open, and the American Journal of Perinatology Reports. The initial collaboration will run for 12 months, beginning in June 2022.

Philipp Hess, Head of Publisher Relations at ResearchGate: “ResearchGate and Thieme share the vision of empowering researchers to do their best work. We are delighted to be working with Thieme to bring high-quality content to researchers and help authors increase the visibility of their research.”
