IUPAC Award Winner 2026

Stuttgart, April 2026 – Thieme and the editors of SYNTHESIS, SYNLETT, SYNFACTS, and Science of Synthesis together with the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) award Song Lin (Cornell University, USA) with the 2026 Thieme–IUPAC Prize in recognition of his pioneering work in electrochemical methods that are advancing organic synthesis and enabling more sustainable chemical processes.

New OA Journal Therapeutics NOW

Stuttgart, January 2026 – Thieme is expanding its open access portfolio to advance evidence-based therapeutic development. The new journal Therapeutics NOW will publish high-quality research in gene therapy, immunotherapy, drug discovery, targeted delivery systems, and personalized medicine. Authors can benefit from fast, professional peer review and efficient open access publication with global visibility.

Funded Access to SOS for German Institutions

Stuttgart, May 2026 – Thieme has signed a three‑year national agreement with the newly established FID Chemie – Fachinformationsdienst Chemie (Chemistry Information Service) to provide synthetic organic chemists nationwide with access to the Science of Synthesis (SOS) Platform, Thieme’s reference database for synthetic chemistry.
