Song Lin is the Thieme–IUPAC Prize Winner 2026

Stuttgart, April 2026 – Thieme and the editors of SYNTHESIS, SYNLETT, SYNFACTS, and Science of Synthesis together with the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) award Song Lin (Cornell University, USA) with the 2026 Thieme–IUPAC Prize in recognition of his pioneering work in electrochemical methods that are advancing organic synthesis and enabling more sustainable chemical processes.

Thieme Launches New Open Access Journal Therapeutics NOW

Stuttgart, January 2026 – Thieme is expanding its open access portfolio to promote evidence-based therapeutic development. Thieme integrates Chemaxon’s new generation chemical sketcher, Marvin, into its chemical databases Science of Synthesis and Pharmaceutical Substances

April 2026 – Thieme and Certara, Inc (Nasdaq: CERT) today announced the integration of Marvin with chemical databases, Science of Synthesis and Pharmaceutical Substances. Integrating the latest version of Marvin from Certara’s Chemaxon portfolio makes drawing chemical structures and reactions to find matches in the databases faster, more accurate and user-friendly.
